4 Things You Need To Know About Sean Parker’s Wedding

In case you haven’t heard, Sean Parker (founder of Napster, founding president of Facebook and portrayed by Justin Timberlake in The Social Network) tied the knot in a lavish $10 million wedding at The Ventana Inn in Big Sur, CA this weekend. As if the cost wasn’t mind-boggling enough, the billionaire and his singer-songwriter wife made some, well, interesting decisions when it came to their wedding details…

1. Sean Parker hired Oscar-winning costume designer Ngila Dickson (famous for creating designs for The Lord of the Rings films) to create custom outfits for all 300 wedding guests because he “didn’t trust his guests to dress properly.” Screen Shot 2013-06-03 at 12.34.34 PM

2. Alexandra Lenas’ (Sean Parker’s new wife) wavy blonde hair, hooded veil, and whimsical Elie Saab gown looked like a cross between HBO’s Game of ThronesDaenerys Targaryen and Lord of the Rings’ Galadriel. The couple even had an stylized photo shoot in a Redwood forest that looks straight out of a storybook.

3. Decor for the wedding included a waterfall, a ruin (Huh? We can’t wait to see these photos…), man-made ponds, bridges and long feasting tables. The couple had to apply for a special permit to get their wedding-related construction approved.

4. Famous guests included Sting, Allison Williams (Marni from Girls), and Emma Watson, but the most random guest of all has to be Jaqueline Laurita from Bravo’s Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
