A Glamorous Museum Wedding by Scobey Photography

As an Atlanta native, I’ve been to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History dozens of times, but I’ve never seen it quite like this! That’s why I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to feature Chandra and Carl’s unique wedding. From the high ceilings to the spiral staircase, and of course, the T-Rex fossil this venue is a stunning and unexpected wedding backdrop, it’s completely fitting that these two self-proclaimed “science geeks” (both are professional scientists in the pharmaceutical industry) chose a natural history museum for their wedding. Check it out!

What a beautiful bride! I love her lay out and theme of the wedding, this is truly something that should always be praised, brides spend months agonizing over this looking perfect so credit is owed here! I love Florida, I fell in love with the atmosphere and warm weather when I was young and I still go there to this day! For visiting friends, vacation and just to get lost, it is the best. I was just in Palm Bay at the Palm Bay Hotel (www.palmbay-hotel.com). Affordable and in by far the best part of town.

What a fabulous wedding and unique theme! The colour scheme complements the “jurassic” theme perfectly! :)

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
