A Vintage Victorian Wedding in San Francisco, CA by Christina Diane

Find your inspiration in a unique place and you can bet your wedding will look different than anyone else’s. The bride Sondra, who’s also an interior designer, drew wedding inspiration from vintage issues of National Geographic from the early 1930s. Literally everything about this wedding — from the save-the-dates, table numbers, and typography –reflected the design of the magazine. There were even vintage issues stacked on side tables at the reception to complete the theme! The couple integrated a palette of deep burgundy, grey, ivory and sage green to complement the University Club of San Francisco‘s Victorian-inspired interior. Check it out!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
