5 Creative Wedding Signs (Plus A How-To Video!)

Wedding signs aren’t just functional, they’re an easy way to personalize your wedding day (not to mention create the perfect photo opp!). I’ve seen a ton of really cute wedding sign ideas over the past few weeks — from “Mr. and Mrs.” chair decor to a “Happily Ever After” sign for the ring bearer to carry back down the aisle. Below are just a few of my favorites. If you’re feeling crafty, we even have tips for you to DIY your own (watch the video below featuring the incredibly crafty Meg Allan Cole from Make: Craft) and get inspired!

Less is more with this cut out ampersand sign that makes for an adorable couple’s portrait.

A Ring Bearer’s “Happily Ever After” Wedding Sign

This ring bearer walked down the aisle with a sign around his neck that read “Here comes the bride” on one side, and flipped it after the ceremony to read “…and they lived happily ever after.”

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
