March Madness Wedding Edition!

In the spirit of March Madness (why should college basketball have all the glory?) we decided to kick off our own wedding edition — and finally once and for all discern which is the greatest most popular wedding detail of 2013.

Every week day, starting tomorrow on our blog, we’ll pit roses against peonies, cushion-cut versus round-cut rings, A-lines versus ball gowns and so much more. Your votes will help decide the champion on April 4th when we finally declare which is the best wedding detail of 2013. It’ll be pure wedding madness!

Flowers, cakes, dresses and rings invited to the wedding edition of March Madness were determined by our in-house Wedding Madness Team. There were hundreds of wedding details that could have made it to the tournament — and our highly skilled team of wedding advisors had to make the hard decision of who would make it.

Tomorrow, #1 seed A-line wedding dress will take on the #14 seeded Sheath dress silhouette in the Wedding Dress Division. We’re bound to see a nail-biter over in the  Flower Division too as the Peony takes on the classic Rose.

Voting will start tomorrow at 10 a.m. ET and will close the following day.

PS – Print and fill out your own March Madness Wedding Edition Bracket — take a picture of you with your bracket and then either Tweet or Instagram it at us @TheKnot using the hashtag #WeddingMadness for the chance to win a set of wedding planning books! Read the official rules here.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
