Thanks for your response, Simone. I guess what I mean is, it could be nice to give a general idea. Recipes do this all the time, and people then just adjust as needed. So, maybe how much per stamp if you needed 100 stamps and each was three lines of text? As you say, a jumping off point.

Another help would be a vendor who makes such stamps linked into a post.

Hi Ella! Thanks for your comment. Stamp prices can vary depending on the size of the wedding, where you're ordering, the amount of text. For that reason we do not provide prices, instead they're meant to be the jumping off point for an idea. In this case the idea is a way to combine escort cards, invitation addressing, and a favor.

I understand they saved money on calligraphy and stationary - and used them as favors - but the question is - what did they pay for the stamps? That seems like it would just even out IMHO. I mean, how many guests? I would think each stamp would be at least $10.00.

We priced out our invitations at about $3.00 pp (I am DIY) our escort cards at $2.50 pp (DIY)and we're doing our own calligraphy (my fiance is doing it, actually)...and our favors are budgeted at about $3.00 pp also. (I bought an embosser and embossing powder in metallic gold and a seahorse rubber stamp, so that all comes to about $50.00 but it's part of the escort card pricing shown above)

I guess it might save money if we used the stamp design on other elements, such as the 'chair signs' we made for the ceremony (we're assigning seats)....but those will be very affordable as they are basically color copies on cardstock cut out and double-sided taped onto the chair backs.

I wish The Knot would put pricing on these kinds of posts. This is an idea without any real information.
