She Said “Yes!” The Couple Behind TheKnot.com Proposal

proposal

On Saturday, Jerid proposed to his girlfriend with a proposal on TheKnot.com! Remember, we told you this was going to happen. And the good news? She said “yes!” Watch his emotional proposal here (get the tissues ready!):

Their love story:

The first time Lacey and Jerid saw each other they were in a coffee shop in Denver, Colorado. Lacey stood with “gorgeous red hair and the prettiest blue eyes” Jerid had ever seen. Jerid had been single for quite sometime before meeting Lacey so admits to being very nervous and unsure of what to say, after all, he says “I never went out expecting to meet the love of my life.”

Jerid asked Lacey if he could buy her a coffee. She accepted, and the two chatted, exchanged phone numbers and never went a day without seeing one another– that is until Jerid was dispatched to Kuwait. Jerid and Lacey spent months apart until Jerid got a dream job offer in P.A. that would allow the couple to really start their lives together. Jerid reached out to The Knot to make his proposal happen because “Lacey and I’s relationship, I believe, is what The Knot is all about. Two people so in love they want the best for each other and want the world to know it.”

Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. soon-to-be Hedrick!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
