A Wooden Ceremony Aisle

“So many of brides worry about walking on grass or sand and want a sturdy ground below them in their high heeled wedding shoes,” says Mindy Weiss, founder of Mindy Weiss Party Consultants. Mindy came up with a genius solution to this problem by creating this perfectly worn in wooden plank aisle for a couple with vintage style. Not only is this twist on the standard fabric aisle runner take away some of the practical issues of an outdoor ceremony, but it also fits in perfectly with the lovely garden vibe.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
