Inspiration of the Day: Oversized Fabric Rosettes!

Felt Flower Chair Covers Photo: John Labbe

Preston Bailey and his team at Preston Bailey Designs, Inc. created these incredible oversized felt flower rosettes for a fun pop of color on an otherwise simple chiavari ballroom chair. The key to pulling off this look is in the color: Stick with monochromatic flowers (or a few shades of the same hue) for a cohesive look and feel.

If you’re the crafty type, this would make an easy DIY project! We found paper flower-making kits at Paper-Source.com for $10.95-19.95 per kit or make them from scratch with these detailed instructions on Make & Do Girl blog.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
