Inspiration of the Day: A Hair Bouquet

Hair Bouquet Photo: Ryan & Heidi Studio

Your wedding day hairstyle is an essential part in making you look and feel the part of the bride, and Liza Lubell, founder of Peartree Flowers, took this bride’s soft updo to the next level with a gorgeous mini hair bouquet of fresh flowers. The hair bouquet, made of ivory cattleya orchids and garden roses, meshed with the bride’s romantic vintage style and the eclectic venue in New York City’s West Village.

Liza also arranged the bride’s lush organic white bouquet, and gave it an unexpected touch by including different vines like jasmine and passion vine. Both bouquets were inspired by the season of this early September wedding, a time when nature is beginning to transition from summer into fall.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
