My dad will probably blubber down the aisle along with me! We are so close and I am his only daughter. He is such a tough guy but when it comes to his little girl, he turns into a puddle! I am getting married on August 31 2013 and can’t wait for it!

My husband was great at the “walk down the aisle”. At the reception he told the story of the bride & groom’s first date. “Dad” gave his usual only daughter speech to the boyfriend who somewhat shaken proceeded to back OVER a tree by the driveway. He ended the story-”I’m SO glad we didn’t scare you away & with your permission we’d love to address as SON”. Laughter, applause & tears followed.

I’m the 1st of two daughters to get married and I think my dad is just or maybe even more excited than me! We have a great relationship and have become even closer since my mother passed in 2005 (they were married for 30 years!). I think my father will go through everything from being overjoyed to a sobbing mess, as I probably will myself. I can’t wait! November 2, 2013 is right around the corner!!!

Well, I’m a second-time bride, and I suspect my father will be quietly beaming … that is, until we get to the father-daughter dance. I didn’t have one at my first wedding (there was no dancing at the reception), and I’ve selected a terrific song for it (“You Can Let Go” by Crystal Showanda). Makes me cry every time, so I think he may just shed a tear or two. Of course, my parents are much happier about my choice of husband now, following a devastating divorce after 28+ years. That always makes for happy tears!

I love the pictures ..really made me sad though…my father passed away when i was 8 and lost my mom at 19 so neither of them were there but in spirit at my wedding , Im always kind of jealous when i see a daughter dancing at her wedding with her daddy !!
