Shooting Range Wedding Chapel Opens in Las Vegas (Yikes!)
Photo: Zuckervati.comFirst there was the Elvis impersonator officiant, then Denny’s opened a wedding chapel on the strip, and now Las Vegas has taken weird and wild weddings to the next (terrifying) level with “shotgun weddings” held at a local shooting range called The Gun Store. If guns weren’t already scary enough, now overjoyed brides and grooms will have the chance to wield deadly weapons while celebrating their new lives together.
What does a shotgun wedding package include, you might ask? Well, in addition to an ordained wedding officiant the couple also receives VIP access to to the shooting range, a gift bag that includes shot glasses and dog tags (because nothing says “I love you,” like army paraphernalia), photos with guns, and matching hats.
To each his own, but I’ll be honest and admit I hope this is one wedding trend that doesn’t stick.

Anything goes in Vegas!
You obviously don’t know anything about guns if you think a shooting range is a dangerous place. Also, guns aren’t scary unless you’re wildly ignorant of them.
Why terrifying? A gun range with licensed range masters? Honey, your bias is showing….

I guess this really does give a whole new meaning to a shotgun wedding! Most people that go to the range (like my husband) are very responsible and extremely respectful of their sport. I supposed we’ll need a new service to try and get gunpowder stains off of wedding gowns. As long as they’re safe then I say have fun!
