Last night’s premiere of Downton Abbey season 3 has everyone talking! We can’t stop drooling over Lady Mary’s wedding details: the chapel train, vintage veil and diamond tiara (valued at $200,000!)… and don’t even get us started on the gorgeous sleeved gown with rice pearls and Swarovski crystals. Get the look of this 1920s-inspired English garden wedding!
Beautiful draping vines and rich colored florals evoke the feel of an English wedding. Hanging chandeliers add to the ambience after dark.

Vintage Sleeved Gown
Channel your inner Lady Mary with this chic lace sheath by Monique Lhullier. The romantic shear peplum overskirt keeps it classy and elegant and the high collar neckline is reminiscent of the gown in the episode. Princess Kate Middleton wore a lace sleeved gown on her wedding day too!

Cathedral Veil
Cathedral-length wedding veils are elegant and traditional, especially with the addition of lace trim or beading. Lady Mary's veil was anchored with a 45-carat diamond tiara by Bentley & Skinner. Add a hairpiece at the crown to complete the princess look.
Traditionally, fruitcake takes center stage at British weddings, but to keep things a bit more contemporary we love this tiered cake with lace accent ribbon topped with sugar flowers.
These favors use a royal monogram which is especially popular in Great Britain. Couples can have their insignia appear on coasters or other favors guests can take home.
"It is very important when you are interviewing your vendors to trust your instincts. Do you like the person? Do you want to spend time with that vendor? Can you give that vendor money and know you're going to be well taken care of?"
