How Gossip Girls Wed — Glam Vs. Dramatic

It was a wild season for the ladies of Gossip Girl and the season finale (no, we didn’t forget!) was just as shocking as the wedding gown choices for both Blair and Serena. While neither were typical wedding dresses, that didn’t stop them from looking fabulous.

In a long-sleeved, glitzy Elie Saab gown, Blair was radiant and she was definitely not lacking her “something blue.” Paired with turquoise drop earrings, platform metallic peep toes, and obviously a crystal headpiece (signature Blair Waldorf), this girl never let us down in the fashion department.

Serena, on the other hand, opted a much bolder dress for her nuptials back in October. Rocking a metallic gold and white strapless Georges Chakra Couture gown, this girl truly claimed the WOW factor. She accessorized with colored crystal drop earrings and a statement ring to pair with her dramatic, draped ball gown. Would we have really expected anything less?

These trendsetters have set fashion standards high throughout the past six seasons, and I have to admit we’re going to miss this Gossip Girl closet! Both Blair and Serena have unique tastes and styles, but always dressed to impress. Are you more of a Blair (pastel glam dress) or Serena (dramatic metallic ball gown? Would YOU ever consider wearing one of these for your wedding?

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
