Amar’e Stoudemire took advantage of the historic date to wed his longtime sweetheart Alexis Welch in an intimate ceremony at their home in New York. Hollywood Life reports that the couple invited twelve guests including the couple’s three children.

After tying the knot Amar’e tweeted “12.12.12 now has a special & spiritual meaning for us…” with a picture of their rings and then the couple attended the 12.12.12 Sandy Relief Concert (sounds like a busy day!). The couple reportedly plans to throw a larger wedding this summer.

Congrats to the happy (and beautiful) couple!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
