Temperley London

For anyone who is as in love with lace as we are, this gorgeous sheath has a slight flare at the bottom and is perfect for any vintage affair.

While Season 3 of Downton Abbey premiered on Sunday, September 16, in the United Kingdom, we have to wait until January 2013 for it to cross the pond. However, we couldn’t help ourselves… We had to get a peek at the lavish and much-anticipated wedding of Lady Mary and Matthew Crawley!

In a demur shift dress that floated down the infamous staircase, Lady Mary’s wedding-day look was completed with an antique embroidered chapel train veil and an heirloom tiara designed by royal jewelers Bentley & Skinner. Downton’s Emmy award-winnning design team has outdone themselves.

The high society, 1920s glamour has us dreaming of old-English weddings. Here are some of our picks from the runways if you love this look as much as we do! Do you have a favorite?

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
