Anne Hathaway To Donate Proceeds From Wedding Pics For Marriage Equality

It looks like we’ll finally get to see all the details from Anne Hathaway’s September wedding to hubby Adam Schulman, and it’s for a good cause! The marriage equality organization Freedom To Marry recently reported that Anne plans to donate a part of the proceeds from the sale of her wedding photos to the organization.

Hathaway joins the ranks of other A List celebs who have used their own wedding as a forum for promoting marriage equality like Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Brad Pitt who famously told Esquire in 2006,  “Angie and I will consider tying the knot when everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able” (so far they’ve stood by that!).

Anne has been an advocate for the LGBT community and has spoken publicly about her gay brother. In 2008 Anne was awarded the Human Rights Campaign’s Ally Award.

It’s great to see celebs like Anne Hathaway using their popularity and influence to make a change, and you can too!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
