Amber Tamblyn’s Unconventional Wedding Look: A Yellow Gown and Barefeet!
Photo: UsMagazine.comAmber Tamblyn (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) and David Cross (Arrested Development) wed in a non-traditional fashion on Saturday; the bride arrived in a kayak wearing a sunshine colored gown and no shoes. The 29-year-old actress accessorized the the bright yellow gown and plunging lace neckline with a flower crown and sunflower bouquet. Like Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway, who also wed this year, Tamblyn channeled a rustic, forest nymph wedding style.
The Roots’ drummer, Questlove, Instagramed pics of the wedding (he also DJed the reception!), and other guests included Blake Lively (Amber’s co-star in Sisterhood), Amy Poehler, and Jason Ritter.
Would you try a bright, bold colored wedding gown like Amber Tamblyn? Let us know in the comments!

I am obsessed with the Kayak idea. It is so unique, fun and awesome.
So funky! I love it
It’s good to see creative, non-standard ideas for throwing a wedding reception.

Great idea Tambylyn….look so pretty…. http://www.bvira.com
My dress is a wisteria/periwinkle blue-grey, in duchess satin with ivory lace edged Rococco style sleeves. It’s a very traditional cut, with a long cathedral train and a full ballroom skirt, but a different color. I think the juxtoposition is fun and definitely ‘me.’ This is definitely a very personal decision, made by a very individualist, self-assured woman. I think she rocked the look!
