Amber Tamblyn’s Unconventional Wedding Look: A Yellow Gown and Barefeet!

Amber Tamblyn (Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) and David Cross (Arrested Development) wed in a non-traditional fashion on Saturday; the bride arrived in a kayak wearing a sunshine colored gown and no shoes. The 29-year-old actress accessorized the the bright yellow gown and plunging lace neckline with a flower crown and sunflower bouquet. Like Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway, who also wed this year, Tamblyn channeled a rustic, forest nymph wedding style.

The Roots’ drummer, Questlove, Instagramed pics of the wedding (he also DJed the reception!), and other guests included Blake Lively (Amber’s co-star in Sisterhood), Amy Poehler, and Jason Ritter.

Would you try a bright, bold colored wedding gown like Amber Tamblyn? Let us know in the comments!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
