How Does the Daughter of a Sultan Get Married? Like This…

The daughter of the Sultan of Brunei, one of the world’s wealthiest men, got married yesterday in a lavish ceremony. The wedding took place at the Throne Hall of Istana Nurul Iman in Brunei, a 1,700-room palace! Princess Hajah Hafizah Sururul Bolkiah is one of 12 children of the Sultan and the first to get married since 2007. On Sunday, the couple will be presented to the royal court in a final ceremony ending a week’s worth of wedding festivities. Check out the silk garb and the traditional rituals. Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
