Check Out This Beautiful Invitation

chic wedding stationery

Gorgeous fashion accessories, flower arrangements, wedding cakes and stationery cross our desks every day here in our New York City office. In “Prettiest Thing in Our Office This Week,” we’ll take you behind the scenes and show you our favorite item each Friday.

I’m a bit of a stationery geek (typography, letterpress, spacing!) and when I saw this invitation with a delicate vellum folder, I fell in love. The map is so subtle, but it’s such an cool way to bring your wedding location into your stationery suite. Pair it with a pamphlet on all the “particulars” like the transportation, attire and other pre- and post-wedding events for a modern yet classic appeal. Stationery by A Day in May Design

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
