Milky Way Wedding Photo — The Most Awe-Inspiring Photo We Have Ever Seen!
We see a lot of beautiful wedding photos here at The Knot, but this photo has everyone in the office obsessed. One of my best friends tweeted this image to me last night. Photographer Lakshal Perera captured this out-of-this-world photo at a wedding in Denliquin, South Wales. As Buzz Lightyear would say, “To infinity and beyond!”

I seriously can’t get over how pretty this photo is. Crossing my fingers that my Tucson, AZ venue lends itself well to something like this!
So beautiful!
It’s an awesome photo, but there’s clearly some serious Photoshop work going on in there. Would love to see what the RAW file looks like. In any case, great shot!
It’s a 71-second exposure instead of 1/100 to 1/400 of a second – which is how the camera was able to capture the light in the sky, and why the light in the barn appears overexposed and burned white (traditionally a “no-no” in photography that some have criticized the photographer for): http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/15/milky-way-wedding-photo_n_1784604.html. So no, it wasn’t photoshopped – just a gorgeous photo.
-Meant to say “the light from the stars in the sky.”
