Academy Award winning actress Natalie Portman married fiance Benjamin Millepied this past weekend in a traditional Jewish ceremony in Big Sur, California. Ivanka Trump and Macaulay Culkin were among the estimated 100 guests that attended their wedding. Few details have been shared about the exclusive affair, but here at The Knot we have gathered some of her wedding details together so you are able to incorporate them into your own wedding!
Point 16 Big Sur Wedding Location
We know that Natalie and Benjamin married at a private residence in Big Sur, in a ceremony that took place on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Get the Look: An outdoor setting with a ridiculous view (like this one) would fit the bill.Rustic Chuppah
Benjamin and Natalie married in a traditional Jewish ceremony, under a nature inspired huppah.
Get the Look: Keep the look natural and romantic with branches and soft flowers.
White Wildflower Bouquet
We also know that wildflowers native to the central California coast were the primary flowers for Natalie and Benjamin's big day.
Get the Look: Ask your florist to create something simple and all-white to get a similar look and feel.Crown of White Wildflowers
One of the most distinguishing features of the day: Natalie wore a crown of white flowers on her hair.
Get the Look: If you’re not daring enough, have your flower girls don natural floral wreaths.
A Traditional Klezmer Band
A Klezmer band is a type of band that plays at weddings and other Jewish celebrations. Natalie and Benjamin's first dance was a 20-minute traditional hora to music played by a Klezmer band (a traditionally Jewish band).
Get the Look: Honor your heritage or locale. Get a steel guitar or bluegrass band for an outdoor wedding in the country or a jazzy band for a wedding in the city.
No Cake -- Traditional French Macarons Instead
In lieu of a traditional wedding cake, the couple had vegan French Macarons. This not only adhered to the vegan menu but also a nod to Benjamin's culture
Get the Look: Macarons make for great favors and welcome bag treats.
Wildflower Seed Packet Favors
Natalie and Benjamin sent guests home with packets of wildflower seeds as favors. We love this idea and is a way to spread the love to your garden too
Get the Look: You can buy plantable seed cards in
The Knot Shop
Great to see your work Sam!
