Astrologer Plans Her Wedding Based on a Prediction of When She’ll Meet Her Groom

Sydney based astrologer Anita Chakra Burtty is planning a wedding though she’s missing the main ingredient: the groom! Convinced that the stars will align in October or November to bring her a future husband, Anita has gone ahead and bought a dress and made appointments with wedding vendors to prepare. Anita has even set her sights on a beachside barbecue for the reception and has invited friends from England to travel to Australia for the big day. Anita’s friends support her predication, and one even changed his wedding plans to accommodate hers. He said, “We were just planning dates at the time so you know, I wouldn’t be a good friend to Anita unless I believed in her and supported her.”

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard of someone planning a wedding before getting engaged, it even happened once or twice on Say Yes to the Dress, but Anita could be gearing up for disappointment if the cosmos don’t deliver. Even Anita hopes that her future husband won’t mind that she’s “a tiny bit insane.” Since I don’t have a crystal ball, only the future can tell whether the future brings what she hopes for or that she at least finds a great resale price on the gown!

Wow – that’s a bit much. I almost can’t make a comment, except that it would be totally crazy if she’s right! If not, I hope she still throws a heck of a party for all those guests.

But half of the fun of wedding planning is getting to do it with your fiancee! My fiancee loves wedding planning (with me) – he’s so excited about our plans!

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
