Trashing the dress has become an increasingly popular sport in wedding photography. It’s also become a topic of major debate. To some, it’s wasteful and symbolic of marriage, but to others, “trashing the dress” is expressive and liberating.
We’ve collected some of our favorite trashing campaigns and have to admit it looks fun. From food fights to paint and mud, these brides have decided to rock their frocks! Would you?
I personally love these pictures and they express the fun you are supposed to have as newlyweds. I don’t think that “trashing the dress” is a bad thing. it shows that you are in a marriage because of each other, not because you wanted a big “all about me” party. It’s a great way to start off your married life together; letting loose and having fun. I love the four wheeling picture and the one of the couple swimming, that one is very symbolic of diving into a new life together.
Love the trash the dress sessions as well, and can’t wait to photograph one. It looks like so much fun, and there are so many creative opportunities. The four wheeler and underwater photos are my favorites as well from this series.
"It is very important when you are interviewing your vendors to trust your instincts. Do you like the person? Do you want to spend time with that vendor? Can you give that vendor money and know you're going to be well taken care of?"
