Ralph Lauren’s Olympic Uniform Unveiled! A Look Back at His Wedding Dress Designs
Uniform sketch: Glamour.com; Lauren Bush: Vogue.com; Dylan Lauren: Vogue.comThis summer, the US Olympic team will stroll into the opening ceremonies wearing Ralph Lauren for the third games in a row — check out the sketch of the preppy uniforms on the left. This is a big honor, and we couldn’t help but think back to the other important designs he’s done: the two wedding dresses he created for family.
Dylan Lauren’s Dress: Ralph designed a gorgeous silk tulle-and-duchess satin dress for his daughter, Dylan. It’s over the top in all the right ways — the train is nine feet long and that mermaid hem accentuates her figure perfectly. “I had to do something that was better than ever before. [She's] the only daughter I have,” Ralph told Oprah in an interview last year. “I want to just give her something that she’d really treasure and give her something that would be really amazing. I want her to feel fantastic.”
Lauren Bush’s Dress: For his daughter-in-law Lauren Bush, Lauren went for a dramatic pattern with a tulle and ivory silk overlay. The gown took one hundred craftspeople more than 3,000 hours to hand-stitch, and Bush told Vogue that the collaboration with the designer on her gown was “a dream come true.”
Both gowns are jaw-dropping, and both show off a different aesthetic of the American icon. Which dress is your favorite?

Thanks for any other great post. The place else may anybody get that kind of information in such a perfect manner of writing? I have a presentation next week, and I’m on the look for such information.
