What We Danced To: Harry Connick Jr.’s “A Wink and a Smile”

FirstDanceJenniferCliff

Their Wedding Style: Jennifer and Cliff’s wedding was whimsical from beginning to end. At the reception, they made their entrance with a tandem bike ride across the dance floor while their guests shook pom-poms.

Their Reception Music: Classic tunes and Motown favorites kept guests on the dance floor until the couple made their grand exit the same way they came in — with the bicycle built for two.

Their First Dance Song: Wanting to set the mood for the party with their first dance, the couple performed a swing dance to “A Wink and a Smile” by Harry Connick Jr. from the soundtrack of one of their favorite movies, Sleepless in Seattle.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
