Glamp Honeymoons for Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves

Keeping with the theme of Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves’ “glamping” wedding, we put together a list of honeymoon-worthy spots the nature-loving couple would love.

An African safari seems right up this adventurous duo's alley. To take wildlife viewing to new heights, I could see Matthew and Camila cozying up in one of Ngong House's luxe tree houses set in the heart of the African wilderness. More like lavish cabins on stilts than the tree houses you remember from your childhood, with plush beds, luxe bathrooms and private decks for stargazing, Ngong's version offers the perfect mix of nature and luxury for this crunchy couple.

He's treked through the dessert (Sahara) and jungle (Tropic Thunder) and gone shirtless in the Caribbean (Fool's Gold), so the actor and Brazilian bombshell might actually prefer a wintry honeymoon. Sure, this one is pretty out there, but, if Matthew wants to try a totally new experience with his new wife, checking into the world’s first (and largest) hotel made of snow and ice certainly qualifies. And the paparazzi will never suspect the aptly-named Ice Hotel, so the famous couple could actually enjoy total privacy during their honeymoon.
Treebones Resort, Big Sur, California

What’s a yurt? We wondered that, too (but doesn't it sound like something Matthew would say?). So we were pleasantly surprised by these cabin-meets-state-of-the-art-tent domes with redwood decks and fireplaces, set on bluffs overlooking the pacific ocean. The out-of-the-Hollywood-(and honeymoon!)-box accommodations at Treebones Resort in gorgeous Big Sur are just a short RV ride away from LA. Just be warned Camila: Communal bathrooms are de rigueur at this eco-resort.
Clayoquot Wilderness Resort, BC, Canada

Though guests camping out in tents may seem shocking, Matthew and Camila aren't the first celebrity couple to feature guest "glamping" at their wedding. Exes Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds started the trend with their 2008 nuptials at Clayoquot Wilderness Resort. Clayoquot's teepee-like accommodations offer an upscale take on roughing it (aka “clamping"), with heated floors and indoor/outdoor showers, so Matthew and Camila would feel right at home.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
