Our Executive Editor's Mom

This classic cutie is the mother of Rebecca Dolgin, our fabulous Executive Editor. We love how illusion lace necklines were a huge trend then and now!

Our Lifestyle Editor's Mom

Joan Newell, mother of Sarah Newell our super talented Lifestyle Editor, actually wore her sister's old wedding dress. She added her personal touch with a purple ribbon. Joan was married in August in Franklin, IL, almost 45 years ago this coming summer!

Our Senior Associate Weddings Editor's Mom

Shirley Waits is mother of our super rad Senior Associate Weddings Editor, Susan Waits. Shirley made her own wedding dress and veil with her mother's help! They attached the mantilla veil to a little pillbox hat to give it structure. Shirley got married in August 1975 in Joplin, Missouri.

Our Fashion Editor's Mom

This is my beautiful mom, Amy Ma! She actually rented her gown (and her maid of honor wore the exact same dress...I guess it wasn't taboo back then in Taiwan for guests to wear white). Love the classic high neck style with a bit of pink ribbon in her hair to keep things fun! She got married in October, 1978 in Taipei, Taiwan.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
