Prettiest Thing in Our Office This Week: A Piped Wedding Cake

cake

Gorgeous fashion accessories, flower arrangements, wedding cakes and stationery cross our desks every day here in our New York City office. In our new regular blog feature, “Prettiest Thing in Our Office This Week,” we’ll take you behind the scenes and show you our favorite item each Friday.

All-white wedding cakes don’t have to be boring — as this two-tiered little beauty demonstrates. A Little Imagination Cakes created this cake to be featured on a recent episode of The Knot LIVE, and we just love the simple, yet elegant tone-on-tone decor: intricate paisley-patterned piping on top of smooth fondant frosting.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
