Wedding Hairstyle We Love: Bold Buns

wedding day hairstyles

A good updo is always a great option when it comes to wedding day hairstyles. With so many different updo styles, you’ve got endless potential for a killer day-of look.

We tracked down three looks for your wedding day inspiration. Kate, Eva and Cobie have mastered the same look in three very different ways and we love all of them!

Kate Hudson’s big bun looked elegant and fun at the same time at the White House Correspondents Dinner last Saturday, April 28th. We can’t get over how lustrous her hair looks, even next to that Jenny Packham dress!

Eva Longoria’s stunning in an ivory Marchesa cocktail dress paired with a trendy bouffant style, also at the Correspondents dinner.

For a more understated look, Cobie Smulders chose a relaxed messy bun to go with her tangerine Reem Acra gown at the Tribeca Film Festival on Tuesday, May 1st.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
