Honeymoon Hot Spot: The Ranch at Rock Creek

The Ranch at Rock Creek The Ranch at Rock Creek

One of the best parts about my job is scouting out amazing honeymoon and wedding destinations around the world. So friends are always surprised when I tell them that they won’t need a passport to get to one of my favorite hot spots: Sitting on over 6,600 acres of rugged wilderness, The Ranch at Rock Creek is located in Montana. An unlikely honeymoon destination, yes. But this ritzy ranch offers the perfect mix of excitement, romance and luxury. Choose between a rustic room or log cabin–both come with all the amenities of a five-star hotel. Or if you really want to “rough it,” book one of the canvas cabins (think: camping Troop Beverly Hills style). Perfect for more adventurous types, this place has just about every outdoor activity you could ask for. In winter, try snowshoeing, sleigh rides, ice skating and skiing (they’ll even send a private guide to show you around the mountain). In the fall and summer, go fly-fishing, horseback riding, hiking, or try paintball (note: paintball hurts!). At the end of your adventure-filled days, there’s top-notch food, amazing wines and spa pampering to help you unwind. The best part: You won’t have to worry about whipping out your wallet to pay for everything–the rates are all-inclusive.

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
