Favor Spotlight: Cake Push Pops

Cake Pops

Haven’t tried cake pops yet? Keep up, or you might be overwhelmed by the new wave of lollipop-inspired petit fours taking the favor scene by storm. From pies and Oreos to donut holes and French macarons, novelty wedding treats are getting whipped up as one-bite mini-mes conveniently attached to a stick. (Portion-control, anyone?)

We’re especially loving push-up pops, like these from CakeShooters.com — filled with cake layers, icing and filling, this childhood throwback (think: orange sherbert) is a nostalgic spin on the utensil-free dessert trend.

What’s your favorite take? And more importantly, does dessert really taste that much better on a stick?

Escort cards are extremely easy to personalize and an excellent way to bring in your wedding day colors -- from calligraphed seating cards set atop a textured linen to apples tagged with each guest's name or small personalized bundles of lavender tied off with string. Other ways to display escort cards: Pin them to a clothesline, post them on a board covered in color-coordinated ribbon, or incorporate them into your cocktail hour using personalized stirrers tagged with guests' names.
